And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Here in Northeast Pennsylvania , we are currently in the “Blizzard of 2017”. This is a historic snowfall where virtually everything is shut down. Living in a very “commercialized” society it gives you time to think when great events like this happen.
During the storm I wonder will my family have enough food, heat to stay warm, will our water supply be cut off? But as the Bible says “God shall supply all our needs”. Often we got through the mundane routine of life, without even thinking about will our needs be met or supplied.
Don’t get me wrong, I thank God every day for all he has given us. But there is a great peace knowing that our Father in Heaven, knows our needs and will supply them for us…

“So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish. Matthew 18:14
Many people try to paint a picture of God being angry and mean. But as Jesus teaches us its not the will of God our Father for anyone to perish. God has done everything possible to bring us salvation, he sent his only begotten Son to take the wages of our own sins. Who else would be willing or even able to do this?
As Jesus teaches in this parable, when a Shepherd has one hundred sheep and loses one of them, he goes looking for them even though he still has the other ninety nine. This is the same with our Heavenly Father. Even though many are saved, God is still searching for the lost sheep. He doesn’t want anyone to perish, and send the Good Shepherd…

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27
What is your initial reaction when your life enters a storm? Just as Jesus told his disciples, he is telling you today, Take courage and don’t be afraid!
In life we may feel helpless sometimes like the disciples, floating in a boat in darkness. Sometimes were not sure what is going to happen next, but we should always remember God is with us. Just like the disciples, who thought they were alone in the darkness, Jesus was right by their side.
Only Peter had the courage to ask Jesus if he could walk on the water with him, and when he took that “leap of faith” he was walking on the water with his Lord!
But just as in life, a storm started to come in, Peter quickly lost his faith and…

“But if you had known what this means, ‘I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. Matthew 12:7
Many people like to use religion to condemn people but Jesus clarifies this topic. In this example the Pharisees were condemning Jesus for healing people on the Sabbath Day. Jesus said it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day (Matthew 12:12) Jesus is saying if you see someone in trouble or needs help, do you think God wants you to ignore them because it’s the Sabbath day?
Even today many religious leaders like to condemn people for the Sabbath day. But we need to understand God made the Sabbath day for man (Mark 2:27) He didn’t create the day to condemn people. The Sabbath day was made out of compassion for man, to give us rest and peace.
When God made the commandment to…

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1
Do you have inner peace? Did you know peace can be obtained? The world is always searching for peace, nations spend trillions of dollars on weapons and warfare. While people spend billions on drugs, books, and doctors. What is everyone searching for, we are all searching for Peace.
The only way we can truly obtain peace is through the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6) Jesus Christ. Sounds cliché but the blood of Christ has the power to transform your life. What do I mean by the Blood? The reason nobody has peace is because we are all guilty, we have all fallen short and are sinners (Romans 3:23) you are being convicted by the Holy Spirit, which produces guilt.
But since God loves us and wants us to be his…

But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” John 8:7
Are you guilty of throwing stones? People thought they were going to outsmart Jesus and trap him into condemning a sinner to death. But what Jesus did was use this as a teaching moment for everyone. As Jesus said, whoever is without sin, go ahead and condemn the woman. But as we all know, we all are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
Even though we are all sinners, we love to throw stones at other people. Why is this? Why can’t we look in the mirror and convict ourselves as easily? Jesus is teaching these people, stop worrying about other people’s sin, worry about your own sin. When we…

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11
Are you in a Spiritual Slumber? The word “slumber” means to sleep or be in a state of inactivity. Often in our lives we can start to become complacent. We go through the motions and do what the bare minimum we have to do.
But as Christians we must remember Jesus said he would “Return as a Thief in The Night” (Revelation 16:15) meaning Jesus will return at a day and time when nobody expects him. As Jesus also said the day and hour nobody knows of his return except God (Matthew 24:36) So its important we live every day as if Jesus were to return.
As we know its normal for us to occasionally lose our…
